Joy In The Works Disclosure Information
So apparently there are some things I am supposed to make sure you know about my blog. So, here goes:
First, while I have more than 12 years of parenting under my belt, a degree in Human Development, a teaching credential and experience as a teacher, I do not claim to be an actual expert! Everything on this blog is for entertainment purposes only and I am not providing any true professional advice. Anything you use or implement from this blog, you do so at your own risk. Also, for some reason, I am supposed to tell you that you read this blog at your own risk as well. Seriously, no clue what might happen to you, but either way, don’t blame me for it! ;)
And onto copyright: everything you see on my site, unless otherwise noted, is held under legal copyright of Joy in the Works. Nothing may be used, copied or re-printed without my written permission.
Now, nothing bugs me more than figuring out that someone sold my personal information when I registered on a website. So that, combined with the fact that I would have no clue how to actually share or sell your personal information, means that I won’t do that. If you enter your personal information on this blog, Joy in the Works, for an email subscription or to comment on a post, I will not share this information with anyone else. However, I am not responsible for the privacy policies of any advertiser or blog commenters.
I am also not responsible for the actions of any advertisers or sponsors that I may work with. Also, if you click on and purchase something from an affiliate link through my site, I am not responsible for that product and if you have any issues with the product or the company’s service, you need to resolve that issue with them.
On my blog you will find an occasional “affiliate” link (always clearly identified), which means if you click through to a product and purchase that product, I will receive a small percentage of the sale, without any increase in cost to you. Sometimes clicking on these links, will activate ” cookies”, meaning that I can still receive a percentage of your purchase if you make it at a later time. The length of time varies from site to site. Sometimes it is 24 hours, sometimes a few weeks (although it is usually much shorter than that). There are ways to disable cookies on your computer, but I want to remind you that any percentage I receive of an affiliate purchase does nothing to increase your total and helps support the costs associated with running a blog. I appreciate any and all financial support you can give me through affiliate purchases.
I also want you to know that I am very selective when working with affiliate programs or sponsors. I only recommend products that I use personally. In fact, I specifically pick affiliate programs that offer the products that I already use. When I plan a birthday party or buy holiday t-shirts for my kids, I go through several websites until I find the exact product I want. As a convenience, I am compiling all of my favorites in one place. For example, if I only like the Star Wars party plates from Birthday Express (one of my favorites!) and the party favors on Amazon.com, you will find both listed there. I also plan to do a Holiday Clothes Round-Up for each Holiday so you don’t have to search all over the place to find something that you like!
Hopefully that about covers it-if not or you have any questions Feel free to contact me
